Foot Athlete’s Foot

Foot athlete’s foot is a condition primarily caused by superficial skin infections of dermatophytes and deficiency of Vitamin B1. The main clinical manifestations are water blisters between the toes, peeling, whitening of the skin, moistness, with possible development of sores or thickened, rough, cracked skin. It can be contagious among people sharing shoes and socks, thus it is advisable to wear breathable cotton socks and maintain good hygiene, consider using antifungal creams such as Daktinmycin ointment, take oral Vitamin B1 supplements, and consume more fresh vegetables and fruits.
