Athlete’s foot, also known as tinea pedis, is a relatively common type of fungal infection. Clinically, it can be classified as vesicular, scaly, or keratotic types. Each type requires slightly different treatment methods, often using solutions such as Clotrimazole, Terbinafine, Compound Chinese Herbal Cream, Miconazole Nitrate Ointment, Betamethasone Dipropionate and Hydrocortisone Ointment, etc. For severe or recurring cases, oral antifungals such as Itraconazole, Terbinafine, and Fluconazole may be prescribed. It is advisable to wear breathable shoes regularly and avoid using flip-flops frequently. It is recommended to seek guidance from a medical professional for proper treatment.
