Athlete’s foot, also known as tinea pedis, is a skin disease caused by fungal infection. It is mainly related to high temperatures and humidity. Clinically, it can be classified into vesicular type, bullous type, and scaly type. Generally, it is most commonly seen between the 3rd and 4th toes, and may spread to the entire foot over time. In terms of treatment, first pay attention to personal hygiene and avoid wearing other people’s shoes or socks. If symptoms are mild, topical applications such as Daktarin cream can be used; for severe symptoms, oral antifungal drugs such as Itraconazole may be necessary. For combined infections, additional antibiotics may be required.
