Athlete’s foot, also known as tinea pedis in medical terms, is a common skin infection caused by fungi. Based on clinical presentation, it can be classified into three types: scraped type, vesicular type, and fissured type. Sometimes these three types may occur alternately. Treatment for athlete’s foot involves using antifungal medications topically. For the scraped type with drainage, topical powder drugs like Daktinomycin Powder can be used. Both the vesicular and interdigital type of athlete’s foot can be treated with topical creams such as Clotrimazole Cream, Miconazole Cream, and Butenafine Hydrochloride Cream.
