What to Soak for Foot Fungus

Foot fungus, also known as athlete’s foot, is an infection caused by skin fungi. Skin fungi are pathogenic fungi that can infect the skin directly or indirectly when they come into contact with it, especially when the skin is damaged. This increases the chances of a fungal infection. A skin fungus test can help confirm the diagnosis. Treatment primarily involves antifungal agents. This can be achieved by soaking in substances like salicylic acid or potassium permanganate for about 15 minutes a day, for 3-5 days continuously. Concurrently, apply an antifungal cream such as terbinafine, ketoconazole, or clotrimazole twice daily for at least two weeks.
